This sauce is made with real Chipotle chillies, which are actually smoked jalapeños. They have a wonderful deep, earthy, smoky flavour with strong fruity / berry undertones.
Please do not be misled by the name and think that this is a novelty product. This is a great sauce made with fine quality by the team at Dave’s Gourmet, which is one of the best known hot sauce brands there is. It was created for them by popular cookbook author Jennifer Trainer Thompson, so you know it is going to be packed with flavour and heat in equal measure.
