Pure Cap has long been thought of as a cooking ingredient and not a hot sauce – this is so that people are discouraged from direct consumption as it will cause all sorts of problems! This comes in a child-proof pack with a dropper bottle so you can add it one drop at a time!
Despite Pure Cap’s name, vegetable oil is the first of two ingredients, which seems a little counter intuitive.
The ingredient to get excited about is the second ingredient, capsaicin, which is that extract that gives hot chilli peppers their heat.
So how hot is this really?
This has a Scoville rating of 500,000 heat units, which roughly equates it to being around 100 times hotter than an Jalapeño.
